Paper Stone Instruments is a new Kontakt Library development company formed by the team at Paper Stone Recording Studios in Nottingham, UK.

Our mission is to create unique, organic and expressive instruments that we as writers find exciting and useful to incorporate into our own projects.

Working from studio 2, a converted cinema auditorium dating back to the early 1900s with incredible acoustics, we have have taken our time to experiment with microphones, preamps and positioning to create the best possible sound quality. The resulting close, stereo and ambient room recordings can be blended on the Kontakt interface to tailor make the sound that suits your needs.

Our first instrument is the Palm Mute Piano for Kontakt V4.2.3 or above.

The Palm Mute Piano is a 2.6GB 64 note Kontakt instrument. Each note of our PaperStone Grand Piano has been meticulously sampled using finger dampening, resulting in a unique cinematic tone. The PaperStone house piano is a Danemann Grand Piano 6’8”; Mahogany c1960, chosen for it’s rich character and mellow tone. Perfect for cinematic and jazz music.

It has been sampled in short (staccato) long
(sustain) and pedalled articulations at 3 velocity levels, with 5 microphones:
Close (mono) Stereo and Room.

What is the Section patch of the Silver Glockenspiel about? Is that a sample of several Glockenspiels being playing in unison?

Hi,

The normal patches have 3x neighbor sample borrowing round robin. (Only the Sustains have true 4x round robin)

The ‘Section’ patches are layered versions of the round robin samples above each other to give the illusion of 3 instruments playing.

So there is no sampled section. These patched were just a little bonus which were added later on.

This is based on a famous Japanese modular, with a few alternative features.
Plenty of modulation possibilities, its great fun to use. The instrument is streamlined to make it as cpu efficient as possible - it handles very well in fact.

There’s an arpeggiator, with 2 ‘interval’ sections, allowing some very interesting patterns to be made.

There is a dual polarity Keytrack function assigned to the mod-wheel. This acts as a great alternative to filter cutoff, as it is pitch specific.

My inspiration for this sound library has been Kid Koala, Cold Cuts, Lone, Kona Triangle, Milieu and the whole electronic lofi scene! I just love it when something completely unexpected gets uploaded to Sampleism from a previously unheard of developer that just blows me away!

The Golden Pad Factory is a Kontakt 5.0.3 sample library filled with inspiring pad sounds.

These sounds can be used Ambient and New Age music.

The samples were taken from multiple hardware and software synthesizers and were edited and layered to make these unique pad sounds.

There are 30 sounds in total:

10 main pad sounds,
10 modwheel variations,
10 multis.

Custom made Kontakt script with AMP ADSR, Filter ADSR with Resonance and Envelope Amount.

The samples are in 44.100 Hz, 32 bit NCW format.
